CNC Laser Cutting

With a high degree of accuracy and precision, our team can coordinate a wide range of precise CNC laser cutting services to fabricate complex shapes, angles, and other design features crucial to the aerospace, precision electronics, medical, and semiconductor industries. Using high-powered lasers, CNC laser cutting machines can make clean and efficient cuts through a wide range of materials and thicknesses. 

CNC laser cutting excels at several facets of complex fabrication jobs including the production of higher-quality precision edges with limited distortion, reduced heat-affected zones (HAZ), limited material waste, and narrower kerfs that maximize material usage and allow for more intricate cutting patterns.. CNC laser cutting is suitable for an extensive list of materials from standard metals like aluminum and steel to acrylic plastics, rubber, ceramics, foam, and advanced composites such as carbon fiber.

CNC Water Jet Cutting

CNC water jet cutting uses a high-pressure stream of water to penetrate various metals, plastics, and other composite materials for our customers in the precision electronics, aerospace, and biotech industries which regularly experiment with unique materials like carbon fibers, composites, and engineered plastics. Highly desirable due to the “non-thermal” cutting approach, CNC water jet cutting can penetrate much thicker material than laser cutting without sacrificing precision, edge quality, or creating additional distortion. Depending on the material, CNC water jet cutting may incorporate supplemental abrasives to the water stream to improve efficiency and maximize throughput. 

This metal-cutting process is beneficial for cutting profile lines of components and expedites production time over alternative methods like milling. Water jets can cut nearly any material used in modern manufacturing industries, including alloys, aluminum, bronze, composites, glass, stone, plastics, titanium, and countless others. Although tolerances aren’t nearly as stringent as CNC laser cutting, water jet cutting is still extremely efficient and cost-competitive for high-volume machining projects.

Sandblasting

Sandblasting is suitable for performance automotive, aerospace, electronic, and countless other industries that wish to remove machine or tool path lines and unwanted surface materials from machined components. Using high-pressure air and a varying scale of grain abrasives, sandblasting is an effective method of rust removal, pre-treating the surface, removing contaminants, and achieving the desired surface finish or texture.

Heat-Treating

After machining, American Valmark can provide additional heat-treatment services to components of all sizes and volumes for high-performance automotive, aerospace, and mechanical components that require improved metal hardness levels. Heat treatment is a necessary post-machining service for any end application where enduring immense and continual friction, heat, and force during operation is a requirement.

Final Assembly

American Valmark currently offers customers the value-added service of assembly to reduce project time and cost. We have the capability and expertise to install hardware including dowel pins, threaded inserts, machine screws, o-rings, gaskets, and additional precision components. In a recent assembly project, American Valmark machined and assembled specialty fixtures for a medical device manufacturing company that required immense precision and expedited delivery.
